We wanted to provide an update on the exact conditions in which this issue occurs.
The personal information step must occur after the completion step in one of the following business processes:
- Change job
- Contract Contingent Worker
- Edit Position
- Hire
Additionally, the following ordering of conditions must also be met:
- Start one of the above parent events with the subprocess Personal Information Change and ensure the Personal Information Change step is triggered in the process.
- Correct the parent event at a later time.
Workday is developing a report that you can run to identify impacted persons and a task that can correct the impacted events. This will be delivered to Preview on June 20th, and subsequently to Production on June 27th. We will provide another alert update next week with further details on the report and task.

We know this is an impactful issue. Our development team was therefore able to expedite the delivery of the fix by 1 week, and will be delivering the fix to Production on June 20th. We also will be working on creating a report that will identify the impacted users. We hope to have a confirmed delivery timeline for the report by this Friday.

Our development team has identified the code that was causing this issue and will deliver the fix to Production during the June 27th weekly maintenance window. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we finalize the fix.

Our development team has been able to identify a workaround for this issue, namely initiate a standalone Personal Information Event to overwrite the blank set of personal information. We continue to review this issue with the highest priority and will provide another update by Monday, June 2 / 1:00 pm America/Los Angeles -08:00 GMT.
