We would like to inform you that a permanent fix is scheduled for delivery to your Production tenant as part of the Service Update on August 30th, 2024. As a reminder, you have the option to run the custom task provided in the Workaround section of this alert to resolve the issue immediately in your Production tenant.

We are following up to inform you that a permanent fix is scheduled for delivery to all Preview tenants during this week’s Service Update on August 16th, 2024.

Please note that the custom task provided in the Workaround section of this alert can still be executed to fix the issue in your tenants before the permanent fix is delivered.

We will update this alert as soon as a delivery date has been confirmed for Production tenants.

We would like to issue a correction for the path forward for resolution of this issue. After further review, our development team has identified additional scenarios that require testing, leading to the decision to not deliver the permanent fix to all environments this week.  

Please note that the custom task provided in the Workaround section of this alert can still be executed to fix the issue in your tenants before the permanent fix is delivered.

We sincerely apologize for this delay and will provide a further update by August 16th, 12:00 PM PT.

Our development team has created a custom fix for this issue which requires running the task “Fix Composite Reports” in each affected tenant. This is only required to be run once and should resolve the error for all impacted reports. Please follow the instructions in the Workaround section of this alert.

If you need assistance with this task, please create a Support Case under Analytics & Reporting / Core Reporting

A permanent fix will be delivered as part of the August 16th Service Update.

ORIGINAL ALERT MESSAGE:

Workday is aware of an issue where an error is received when trying to update or migrate composite reports. 

  • When trying to save an edited composite report, the error “The entered information does not meet the restrictions defined for this field. (Data Source Filter)” is encountered. 
  • When trying to migrate a custom report from one tenant to another, the SOAP XML error response “The data source filter Service Item Catalogs Filter is not valid for the data source” is encountered.
