| Workaround | Isolate the Problematic Field: On the Discovery Board, remove your calculated fields one by one. The last field you remove before the error disappears is the one causing the issue. (e.g., Year-Month)Access the Task: Search for and open the Edit Calculated Field task.Select the Field: Search for the identified field (e.g., Year-Month) and select the version associated with the correct business object if there are multiple fields with the same name.Navigate to Advanced Settings: Go to the Additional Info tab and click on Advanced.Enter WQL Alias: Enter a value in the WQL Alias field. This allows the discovery board to recognize the field during generation.Verify the Fix: Save the field and refresh your discovery board to ensure it now generates correctly. |

Workday is aware of an issue where Visualizations on Discovery Boards are failing to render with error message “Cannot render visualization”. Clicking on the Show Details button from the failed visualization produces the additional message “Specify a valid report field. This field isn’t valid in WQL.”
We have identified a fix for this issue and we will update this alert as soon as we have confirmed delivery dates to share.
