We want to make you aware of an issue in Workday that may allow multiple settlement bank accounts to be created for a single supplier, which is against expected system validation. A validation that should restrict a supplier to having only one active settlement bank account (with a blank Payment Type) is currently disabled.
This means that users accessing the ‘Supplier Change UI’ can unintentionally:
- Create and save more than one settlement bank account for a single supplier.
- The affected accounts will all be Active, not marked for supplier connection only, and have a blank Payment Type.
The system is currently not displaying the required error message: “Only one active Settlement Bank Account not marked for deletion can exist with no Payment Type selected,” allowing the unauthorized additions.
Our team is working urgently to re-enable the necessary validation. The fix is targeted for deployment on Friday, November 7, 2025, during standard maintenance hours.
We apologize for this critical disruption and appreciate your attention and patience as we implement this resolution.
