The Workday Team has been informed of an issue affecting the ability to search for certain Spend Categories (SC) in finance reports and the journal entry screen. Please note that this issue does not affect all Spend Categories.

So far, we’ve encountered this behavior with SC0355, SC0366, and SC0388.

The problem occurs when attempting to search for a Spend Category in the input screen—your search may return suppliers or supplier contracts instead of the correct SC.

Workaround:

To bypass this issue, please use the following format in the Worktag prompt: “Spendcat:”

Using the prefix ensures the search returns the correct Spend Category. (i.e.;  spendcat:SC0355)

We have already submitted a case with Workday, and while they investigate the issue, we recommend using this workaround in the meantime.
