Workday Release 2025R1 Update

Pay Worklet Retirement
To enhance and streamline the Workday experience, the Pay Worklet has been retired from the Global Navigation Menu. All pay-related information and transactions are now accessible through the Benefits and Pay Hub, which provides a centralized location to manage benefits, compensation, and payroll details.
Benefits and Pay Hub Enhancements
With the retirement of the Pay worklet, Workday has updated the Benefits and Pay Hub to view relevant pay and benefits information.
The following additional features are available in the Benefits and Pay Hub:
- Ability to view Payment Elections.
- Ability to view Withholding Elections (for Federal Withholding and State/Local Withholding).
- Hide/Show large values in information such as Deductions, Most Recent Pay and Current Benefit costs. Values can be displayed by clicking the eye icon right beside each value.
Redesigned Assign Costing Allocation
Workday has enhanced the Assign Costing Allocation task to streamline the process of adding, editing, and reviewing costing allocations. These improvements simplify workflows for revising, approving, and managing costing allocation changes, providing a more intuitive user experience.
- Proposed Costing Allocations Tab: Users can now add, edit, remove, and sort costing allocation ranges by start date or end date. Additionally, users can copy costing allocations for a specified date range.
- Existing Costing Allocations Tab: Displays current costing allocations based on the specified criteria. If no allocations exist for a worker, the tab will show an empty grid.
- Inbox Accessibility: Users can now access both the Proposed Costing Allocations and Existing Costing Allocations tabs directly from their inbox when the Assign Costing Allocation task is configured as a sub process.
- Enhanced Review & Revision Capabilities: Users can revise proposed allocations after an approver requests changes and can easily review adjustments within the Proposed and Existing Costing Allocations tabs.
Redesigned Hire Employee
Workday has redesigned the Hire Employee task, to intuitively group fields in new sections, and show referential information to improve the process for users. The simplified Hire Employee task provides a more intuitive experience for
Pre-hire/recruiting information and grouped fields into new sections for clarity.
